One thing for sure, Anet didn't pay enough money to get their reviews of GWEN up above 7...

Well to be fair, Penny Arcade is pretty slanted in their views. Especially Gabe.

well, sure, but that's beside the point:

A high-level Gamespot Editor is fired after giving a bad review to a game that just happened to be paying the bills.

I suspect this sort of thing happens all the time, which is why I never trust reviews, especially reviews of high-profile games.

There was a lot of sh*t happening on the Gamespot and Eidos forums prior to that event.

I find it quite rediculous. Someone got fired for doing his job? Eh...
